Now I love a catpile as much as anyone - although not too long on my legs otherwise they overheat and I get restless legs! sad.gif But my 3 are taking liberties at bed time, especially Ned who is already pushing his luck by insisting on taking over the pillow even if it means laying on your face! wacko.gif I'd been on my laptop in bed the other night and couldn't stretch my legs out because........

I also have trouble actually getting IN bed and they have the cheek to look indignant when you ask them to move........siamesechat/c90fc5ead51c33fef44bd33679e9835c.gif

Mine are just the same siamesechat/SEVeyesB08_th.gif
It has to be like military operation to get out of my living room to get to bed before its invaded by the furry kind siamesechat/sninja.gif

Isn't it just. Gary always knows when I've gone up to bed because the cats vanish from downstairs rolleyes.gif smile.gif He also says that when he's at home on his own he doesn't set eyes on them - as soon as I come home, voila, cats appear siamesechat/laugh.gif

MOZEY- 06-13-2009
I'm afraid you'll just have to accept the fact that your cats come 1st. They have the upper-hand (paw?) and if you don't like them piling up on your bed or either lying across your legs (or, indeed, your face!) then I can only suggest you move OFF your bed (in order to accommodate them fully) and (maybe?) sit on the floor!!!

He! he! he! siamesechat/th_255.gif siamesechat/gigsign.gif siamesechat/th_255.gif siamesechat/gigsign.gif Hamilton always sits on top of me when I try to put my legs up on the settee of an evening! He also has the annoying habit of sitting bang infront of the dogs when I'm trying to groom them and put their leads on before their afternoon walk! siamesechat/cat34.gif My duvet is never my own as he rolls himself into it the minute I attempt to air my bed. siamesechat/c90fc5ead51c33fef44bd33679e9835c.gif

As I said, you'll simply have to make arrangements to ensure your cats rule your roost for the rest of your lives!!! siamesechat/th_255.gif siamesechat/th_255.gif siamesechat/th_255.gif

Beautiful!!!!! siamesechat/loveshower.gif siamesechat/loveshower.gif siamesechat/loveshower.gif What a great photo!! siamesechat/smiley.gif

Okay, here is my 'bad mother' confession - I hate sharing my bed with the cats!!! siamesechat/th_thembarrassedgirl.gif In the winter I have it covered, I take their pig lamp upstairs with me and set it up over a bed on the other side of the room to draw them away from me! siamesechat/th_bf-sunglasswinksmiley.gif I also have a bed on my bed, and this way they have a designated place to sleep. But in the summer they ignore all these tricks and share with me and it's a real pain! Firstly Baggy likes to sleep near the bottom of my bed in between my legs, so effectively when I'm asleep I have to lay there with my legs akimbo and I look with I'm riding an invisible horse! blink.gif Alaska has to sleep on my right hand side (never the left, god forbid) curled up under my shoulder with my arm wrapped around her - so I look as if I'm doing the 'I'm a little teacup song. When you think about it they make me look like a gay cowboy! ohmy.gif

Big Mama Cat- 06-14-2009
Great invasion pictures Elaine!

gay cowboy !!! siamesechat/laugh.gif siamesechat/laugh.gif siamesechat/laugh.gif

I guess I look like that sometimes too!!! Bamboo under the duvet between my legs (or if I'm on my side with my legs bent he's in the little cove made by my legs) and Suki rather like Alaska - but right or left, she's not picky!

I have decided that Bamboo must sneak in after I'm asleep and cuddle up and leave when his daddy gets up way before me - as Friday Daniel's alarm went off (very rare!) and woke me and Bamboo very gently extracted himself from under the duvet and next to my legs!!!!!

However Bamboo hates it if I move - he's gone like a shot - Suki doesn't mind she just settles herself back in another way smile.gif Sometimes I have Zoé too - she's like an anchor on top of the duvet - I fell pinned down like Gulliver!!!

Same over here on the continent ;-). The blue team has developed rigid rules recently.

Keira insists on the left side though. She will always announce herself loudly, EVERY night complaining how I could get into bed without her, trample me for a few minutes and then with an audible flop fall into my arm.
Only time she will settle on the right side is if Leon has been ungracious enough to want some space on the bed, too. He usually sleeps on the floor in a basket but once in a while he tries to get on the bed. Keira either lays down right in front of him or she starts biting his tail until he gives up (this is her favourite MO) and cuddels up in his basket looking really lonesome and lets out a big sigh.
And then god forbid I take pity on him and give him a cuddle. I get shouted at by the madam, sometimes even the gentlest of claws in my back and then she´ll jump down and start hitting his tail in the basket until I give up, try to get some sleep and provide the "right" sleeping position for her.
Can only say luckily my love life has been in a draught for some time now (which I´m not whining about - got little time right now and am moving to a different city in 2 months) but I am starting to worry how may scars a potential love interest might face in my bed siamesechat/laugh.gif

BTW Elaine, gorgeous pictures of gorgeous pussums. Especially love the tortie.

Mrs Jack Bauer- 06-16-2009
Ah thanks - the torti is my Xena.

The big question has yet to be asked - Do any of us just push them off!? NO. What muggins we all are. siamesechat/laugh.gif siamesechat/laugh.gif

Moaning aside I do love it when either Caffs or Ned sleep on the pillow, nice warm softie to cuddle wub.gif Mind you I do object to both of them on there which seems to be happening more often lately. Ned also will lean/push against you if you try and move him so it's often easier to settle for the fact that you're going to have neck ache in the morning rolleyes.gif
