:lol Thank you Every one. I felt anything but Pretty. I'd been up since 2 am.. Didn't actually start Labor till 8:am and by the time I needed to push at around 1:40 all I wanted to do was sleep.

It was quick though, Roughly 5 hours of Labor with 10 minutes of pushing. he is such a sweet boy. I however forgot how exaughsting it is to have an infant in the house.

Lexie is fabulous with him, I think its cause shes an older Meezer with a gentle Maternal Streak.
Buttercup still wasn't doing so great and unfortunately is now 4 doors down at a friends house. I figured this way we still know where she is and how shes doing and can see her any day.
My Gf has a kitten around her age.. a male, unfixed. Thank god I got her fixed...lol. We're hoping that its just a temporary situation and Buttercup will be able to come back home. I keep taking the baby over there for small introductions but she's still not pleased...siamesechat/Sad04.gif

But all in all its going great. Little Joey will be 2 weeks old tomorrow :) hard to believe! Thanx for all the well wishes and comments :)

We've had some terrible jealousy issues with Billi, when we bought Merlin he wasn't too bad. Spent about 5 days hissing at him and lashing out whenever he went past but with Minnie he only took 3 days before he accepted her.

However, we have since discovered that if anyone brings in a cat carrier, be it empty or filled with a kitten/cat he goes totally beserk!!! My daughter asked me if I could take her and her friend to collect a little kitten a couple of weeks back. They brought the new baby in to the kitchen while they had a cup of tea. The kitten was inside the carrier at all times, and neither Lou or I had touched it at all. Billi looked in the box, spotted this teeny little black kitten and he instantly spat, hissed and struck at the box then promptly took himself off down the garden and refused to come back in!

Needless to say we had to go carry him in later that evening as it had gone almost completely dark and still he wouldn't come in. When we fetched him in he went for Merlin, then Minnie then bit Lou and tried to bite me too (got a clip for that too) since then, he prowled around the house growling, looking all the time for the interloper. I took him over a week to get around this properly, and poor Minnie and Merlin suffered as a result. He is ok with them again now, but I think now judging by his reactions we won't be adding to our family now as we had orginally planned. Sir is far too insecure and jealous for us to even consider trying as it is not fair on the others as they suffer the knock on effect so it's 3 for us and no more. Ironically both Minne and Merlin were so curious of the little kitten, they both sat next to the box trying to get their paws in, or the kitty out siamesechat/gigsign.gif

I hope that Buttercup does get over her jealousy of little baby Jospeh soon, she's such a sweet kitty and must surely miss her playmate. siamesechat/wetkissf.gif

When we first brought Sabbath and Ming Toy home..Taz did not like either one of them by any means! He gave each of the babies several hard whacks to the head and Mike was ready to whack him after he caught him slapping Mingy upside the head..Well I bathed him first, then the girls and he pretty much left them alone that night. At about 6:30 the next morning we heard Taz "calling" the girls, like a mother cat would..Both of them very carefully creeped out of our bed (they both slept with us that first night) very warily of Taz. All he did was sniff the both of them (no hisses or spits) and proceeded to wash their faces..Sabbath was not happy with the face wash and tried to take off only to have Taz put his big paw on her and hold her down.. Mike was amazed at Taz's change of attitude,( I told him it was the change of smell that was more acceptable to him..as they smelled more LIKE him.) Afterwords he showed them where the breakfast dishes were and even brought out his toys for them to play with..If you are brave, then bathing will solve a lot of bonding issues with new cats..Even using those "Pet Wipes" will help mask scents..My mom used to use perfume/cologne to introduce new cats or kittens to the household, but that can be irritating to their sensitive skin, and I don't recommend it.

Thinking back to when Mike brought Taz home we didn't have any problems introducing him to Bella, He was feeling so bad I think from that fox tail, he did not have the strength to introduce himself and I think Bella realized he was a very sick kitten so she left him pretty much alone..But once he got well, he had so much energy he drove Bella crazy..she would just climb into her pink carrier and pull the door shut after her! siamesechat/th_255.gif One morning Mike caught her beating up Taz rather badly, so Mike put her in the carrier for a time out. Taz immediately ran over to the carrier and stuck his lil paws through the door and did his level best to pull the door open and let his Bella out.. siamesechat/th_255.gif siamesechat/gigsign.gif

Taz at one point nipped Mike because he was petting the kittens, so he told me; "If he hits those babies one more time, he is going to be kissing one of his nine lives good-bye!"
