..we haven't had the sunshine that everyone else seems to have had but the humidity is awful ohmy.gif

Do you live by the sea, Lesley? We used to live by the sea and we had completely different weather to everyone else. When it was hot and I'd phone William at work and they would all be sweating in their offices, I'd be in a jumper with the windows closed because it was too cool! blink.gif

Looks like another hot day here. It's already too hot for me and although the kids are outside I might bring them in around 11 till 3 again, just to make sure they don't overheat! My poor Magnolia tree that we planet last weekend is just shriveled in the front garden, despite watering her in the evenings - hope she pulls through later on! siamesechat/Sad04.gif Poor Madison is not doing well in the warmer weather, mini milks are the only thing keeping her going, well, keeping us both going, really! siamesechat/SEVeyesB08_th.gif

you've got that nice overgrown jungle Jo, they must love that!

The year of the heatwave in France (2004 I think) - I really wet the cats down and it did seem to help a lot. Mine naturally go lie the tile floors or in the hall which is in the middle of the flat and has no windows, but they are indeed lethargic and eating less - wish I could go off my food rolleyes.gif

Yes, I'm trying to keep it at 27/28 they seemed to be ok at the moment, I can introduce more oxygen if I need to as well. That's still high, but I can't keep it stable any lower. wacko.gif

Solo has been much better today. The flannel seemed to work for him too. Yelled as soon as we went to bed blink.gif He's eaten alot today too. smile.gif

just had a thought ,,if water gets too warm maybe you toss in one of those freezer packs your you can use in personal lunches to keep food cool?.(wash it first).. I would suggest ices cubes but sometimes trace amount of freon from the freezer can be found in cubes, I know that it is found in "frost" that cover frozen food..

Yes Tracey... we live within a stones throw from the beach.. siamesechat/chleader.gif Madison would love it! wub.gif The weather is always a lot different to everywhere else and we get a loads of 'sea mist'...if I put the washing on the line then I must make sure I get it in before 2.30pm otherwise it comes in wetter than when I hung it out! ohmy.gif

Poor Madison sad.gif Teddy has really been affected too...He keeps laying on his back with his paws in the air... I'm sure he's wishing I could un-zip his coat siamesechat/giveup.gif and Gizmo (who needs to drink plenty anyway because of his bladder) has been lolling about all day not really knowing what to do with himself...I was offering him loads of water but he wasn't interested so I've been carrying him to the tap (his favourite way to drink) and at least he's been lapping it up...
I'm not sure what the forcast is for next week but I hope its cooler as the humidity is horrendous ohmy.gif
