I wish I could take my current vet with me!!

Went there yesterday. She didn´t ask any money off me the last 2 times so I went there to settle my bills as well as get some other stuff.

You´ll never guess how much I ended up paying in all for 2 consults/examinations, 2 x-rays, cat toothpaste and worming pills for 2 cats...........

-and she´s really good professionally as well and never tries to "sell" you expensive treatment - she gave me the tip about the fennel tea instead of antibiotics/eye drops when Leon´s eye was starting to get infected and was having no payment at all for that particular consultation as "it took all of 5 minutes and she didn´t do anything" - I wonder how she makes her living! I guess it´s because word has spread that she´s good and so her waiting room is always really full so survives on the numbers?:

I think only people who love animals and are truly concerned about their welfare should become vets. Very probably each of us has visited at least one vet that didn't seem to have the cat's best interests in mind. Also, something that is normal, but nevertheless difficult to accept, is a vet that prefers dogs and just puts up with cats...once we took Lautrec to a vet that gave such a bad injection that Lautrec nearly went through the roof and was terrified for days after!! If a vet prefers dogs over cats, they should just work on dogs and vice-versa.

Mirja, kidnap her and take her with you when you move vets like that are so very few and far between! Lou had a similar vet when she lived in Belgium.
We are not suffering too much, ours is very good with prices too, if it's advice they rarely charge, normally it's only meds or operations that we would be charged for.

Hope all goes wunderbar with the move and your new place is nice and quiet and Keira and Leon settle in really quickly too.

Wow, vets like her are worth their weight in gold. Definitely not enough of them around. I hope you find someone just as great when you move.
