| Doesn't seem a lot of difference in the colour, very subtle or is that just the camera. Is apricot just a softer version of red? What colour mum and dad do you need or do they need to carry to get apricot? |

| Reds should be bright dark deep orange. Seal based reds tend to be slightly paler than chocolate based ones, but they should have unmistakable depth of colour. Apricot is the red series lots version of caramel. The dilute version of red is cream, which should be a pale soft powdery cream colour, and if the dilute modifier is present, then that turns cream hotter and a slightly brighter colour into Apricot. There should be a clear difference between each colour in an ori. Less so in a siamese because there is less colour to see. Boris' Mum is a definite cream point, she is so pale people think she is a FW in pictures. Dad is an ori Black, and he probably carries the dilute modifier. In this pic you can see the difference. |
