Thanks for your comments MOZEY, I'll consider this. Bought a squash tonight, so will give that a go too.

He's fine again now, seems to happen every so often. He passes a very small poo, then seems to be blocked by a HUGE poo Once this goes, he's back to normal. If it continues on a regular, excuse the pun, basis I will have to consider further investigation.
